In relation to their body size, Shetland ponies are among the strongest horses around. If they are well trained, these long-lived ponies can pull twice their weight. They are considered frugal, robust and very intelligent, but can also be a little stubborn at times. The true-to-nature depiction of the Bullyland figure shows the Shetland pony mare with a short coat. In winter, the ponies wear a kind of winter coat to protect them from the cold.
