The lynx gets its name from the Greek - there it is called Lynx and means light. This in turn is indicated by the lynx's sparkling eyes. Lynx love forests where they spend most of their time. They are barely visible among the trees and bushes as they are perfectly camouflaged by their spotted fur. A lynx can see six times as well as a human. The slightest rustle is also always perceptible to them, as the lynx is a predator. It eats at least 10kg of meat every week.
